If the nonconformity identified above is abandoned or discontinued for a period of twelve (12) months, it will no longer be valid. Any new use, sign or structure must thereafter meet all Ordinance requirements for the district in which it is located.
Any change in the use or expansion of the nonconformity must be approved as a special exception by the Delmont Borough Zoning Hearing Board prior to such change or expansion.
Nonconforming lots must still comply with setback standards unless a variance is granted by the Delmont Borough Zoning Hearing Board.
Nonconforming signs may not be changed or expanded and must be maintained in a safe condition. No new sign is permitted unless all of the signs at a property are in compliance with the Ordinance.
